Wanted Riders to Carry Technical Experts in Support of Triathlons in the ACT
Hi Everyone,
Stu Couper our triathlon support organiser needs volunteer riders (who do get paid for their work) to carry triathlon officials as pillions while they ensure competitors in the cycling leg are doing the right thing.
Detailed below is an email from Stu with all the information including his contact details. If you are available please drop Stu a line or give him a call he’d be glad to hear from you.
Thanks in Advance,
Pete
Hi Pete,
Could you please put out an e-mail request for volunteers to help out with Triathlon Motorcycle support for the 2009/10 season. For those that haven’t done it before, riders (and their bikes) are required to carry a technical official or occasionally a camera person as a pillion on the cycle stage of the triathlon course. The duties normally require around 2-3 hours in the morning and include a small cash payment (usually $35 but $70 for the 2 long course events) to offset running costs. No previous experience is necessary although you must have a full licence and a registered, road worthy motorcycle or scooter capable of safely carrying a pillion.
I currently need riders for the following dates:
13 Dec 09 Half Ironman 8
20 Dec 09 CPS Enduro 2
10 Jan 10 CPS Sprint 2
23 Jan 10 CC – ITU Junior 1
24 Jan 10 CC – Olympic Tri 6
14 Feb 10 CPS Classic 2
For further information please contact me at my work e-mail address or on my mobile.
Thanks,
Stuart Couper
