MRA Family Rides

New to riding and want to ride with others? Interested in a short ride on the “off weeks” to bring your grandchild along on? Like to supervise you teenager and show them the etiquette of group riding? Want to try out a few roads nearby, but out of Canberra? Want to discover a few lovely country coffee shops? New to Canberra and want to meet some folk who can tell you what’s on?

Come to MacDonalds in Fyshwick at 9:30am for a cuppa on the fourth Sunday of the month and then join us for a short ride and great company. We’ll be leaving at 10:00am.

Focus on rolling curves. ~ 100km

Fyshwick Macca’s 9:30am, Queanbeyan, Tarago / Goulburn turnoff, Tarago, to Loaded Dog. Return via windmills, Bungendore, Smiths Gap, Federal Highway.)

• February, 4th Sunday – Cooma

Focus on highway riding. ~ 200km

Fyshwick Macca’s 9:30am, Monaro Highway to multi-burger shop (or other) at Cooma. Return by the same route.)

• March, 4th Sunday – Corin Dam

Focus on braking. ~ 80km + 50km for Corin Dam return.

Fyshwick Macca’s 9:30am, Hindmarsh Drive, Cotter Road, Paddy’s Flat to Moon Rock Café. Option Corin Dam. Return via Tharwa, Drakeford Drive)

Focus on cruising. ~ 200km

Fyshwick Macca’s 9:30am, Oaks Estate, Sutton Road, Federal highway to Greengrocer. Return via Tarago, Bungendore then possibly split: north – Smiths Gap, south – Queanbeyan)

Focus on back roads. ~ 100km
