Don’t miss the first MRA Social Ride for 2012 being led by Gordon White

Time: 8.30am for 9:00am departure

The Dalgety / Maffra ride is about 381 kms in length and should take 5 hours of riding, with stops at Cooma for coffee and Jindabyne for lunch.
The Maffra Road out to Dalgety is hard to find but well worth the perseverance. Best described as high country riding without the mountain passes. Good fun!
Maffra Road is a good ride. You could turn left at the T intersection with the Snowy River Hwy and instead of going to Dalgety, go to either Bombala (60ks) or Nimmitabel (70ks), both are good for lunch. Of course if you elect to go to Bombala for lunch then you could choose any of the numerous great riding roads from there back to Canberra!
The Maffra road is about 15kls from Dalgetty and I have travelled this route a number of times. Come along and check it out.
